Random Blood Pressure Generator

Generate realistic, age-appropriate blood pressure readings — systolic, diastolic, mean arterial pressure and pulse pressure — for charting drills, assessment practice and simulation prep. Free, runs entirely in your browser, no sign-up.

For education and practice only. These are synthetic, randomly generated values — not real patient data and not clinical guidance. Reference ranges are approximate teaching values that vary by source, measurement method and individual patient; always follow your institution’s standards and clinical judgement.

Normal blood pressure ranges by age

Approximate resting reference ranges used by this tool (awake patient). Ranges differ between sources; use these for orientation, not as clinical thresholds.

What it’s for

Built for nursing and medical students, educators and simulation teams who need a quick, believable BP reading — to practice charting and documentation, rehearse assessment and escalation (spotting a falling pressure or a narrowing pulse pressure), or seed a sim scenario. Systolic and diastolic are flagged against the age-appropriate range so you can practice recognising what’s normal and what isn’t.

Mean arterial pressure is shown using the usual bedside estimate, MAP ≈ diastolic + (systolic − diastolic) ÷ 3, and pulse pressure is simply systolic − diastolic. Both are calculated from the reading above rather than drawn separately, and neither carries a normal/abnormal flag.
